Dave is a veteran sound engineer with over 45 years of hands-on experience in live audio mixing for concerts, and club venues. He is recognized for delivering clean, balanced mixes under pressure and adapting to diverse venues, gear, and performance styles. He’s also skilled in studio recording, with a focus on capturing high-fidelity, natural sound. He is known for a calm, professional demeanor and seamless collaboration with artists and producers.
Engineered performances for artists in genres including jazz, classical, rock, reggae, soul, blues, country, bluegrass and folk, Dave tailors his mixes to fit whatever genre is being played.
In Santa Fe has worked mixing front of house at many venues including the Lensic Performing Arts Center, The Santa Fe Brewing Co (The Bridge), Site Santa Fe, Unit B, Club West, Club Luna, The Paolo Soleri Amphitheater.
A music career that has included performing professionally as a bassist for over 50 years, Dave brings a musician’s ear to sound engineering, enhancing communication and rapport with performers.
Beyond the soundboard, David brings the perspective of a musician—having performed professionally as a bassist for over 50 years. This dual experience helps him collaborate naturally with performers, understanding both the technical and artistic sides of every performance.
Bob Kenan
Owner
Bob has been a drummer for 51 years and started recording his own music 15 years ago with an in home studio. He studied music at University of Missouri, Cabrillo College and with local jazz legend John Trentacosta. He is a percussionist with a local orchestra playing mostly classical music. His primary instrument is the drum set and he loves working with all of the percussion instruments available in an orchestra. Historically he has played with small jazz groups and ensembles.
Also, for many years he has had a passion for technology with degrees in Industrial Technology and Solar Energy Technology. As a result, the transition to building a recording studio has proven to be a good fit.
